Step Up 3D is the upcoming third installment in the Step Up film series. The film was directed by Jon Chu, who also worked on the previous film Step Up 2: The Streets. Step Up 3D is scheduled to be released in conventional 2-D, Real D 3D, XpanD 3D and Dolby 3D formats on August 6, 2010.

Plot: A tight-knit group of New York City street dancers, including Luke (Malambri) and Natalie (Vinson), team up with NYU freshman Moose (Sevani), and find themselves pitted against the world’s best hip hop dancers in a high-stakes showdown that will change their lives forever.

Dinner for Schmucks is an upcoming comedy film, and a remake of the 1998 French film The Dinner Game (”Le Dner de Cons”, an adaptation of the long-lasting eponymous Francis Veber play) The film was directed by Jay Roach, written by David Guion and Michael Handelman, and starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd, who last teamed up on Anchorman and The 40 Year-Old Virgin. It is scheduled to be released on July 30, 2010.

Plot: Tim (Rudd) is a rising executive who “succeeds” in finding the perfect guest, IRS employee Barry (Carell), for his boss’s monthly event. A so-called “dinner for idiots”, the gathering offers certain advantages to the executive who shows up with the biggest buffoon.

Predators is an upcoming 2010 science fiction, action and horror film directed by Nimrd Antal, and starring Adrien Brody, Laurence Fishburne, Topher Grace, Alice Braga, Danny Trejo and Derek Mears as the “Classic Predator”. The film is a sequel to Predator (1987) and Predator 2 (1990). Producer Robert Rodriguez stated that he named the film “Predators” in relation to how the second film in the Alien franchise was called Aliens. The title Predators is intended to have a double meaning, in that it refers to both the film’s alien creatures, as well as the group of humans who are going against them.

Plot: Thirteen years after the events in Predator 2, the film follows a mercenary named Royce (Adrien Brody). Royce is abducted by alien creatures known as the Predators. He is released onto an alien planet which acts as a game reserve, along with seven other humans. With the exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers, with the group consisting of soldiers, mercenaries and convicts. Royce reluctantly leads the group of elite warriors as they come to realize they have been brought together on this planet as prey for a new breed of Predators. While battling to survive against these creatures, they come across an American soldier known as Noland, who was brought to the planet years ago as game, but has managed to survive by hiding from the Predators in a cave. Noland reveals that the Predators have been hunting humans by dropping them on this planet for many years.

Charlie St. Cloud is an upcoming fantasy-romance film based on the 2004 Ben Sherwood novel, The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud. The film is directed by Burr Steers and stars Zac Efron. The story is of Charlie St. Cloud’s choice between keeping a promise he made to his brother, who died in a car accident, or going after the girl he loves.

Plot: Charlie St. Cloud (Zac Efron) survives a car accident that takes the life of his younger brother, Sam. Before the accident, Charlie made a promise to Sam to practice baseball with him every day until he left for college. After the funeral, Charlie is able to see the spirit of his brother, who reminds him of the promise.

The Last Airbender is an American epic adventure fantasy film released on July 1, 2010. It is a live-action film adaptation based on the first season of the animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. The film stars Noah Ringer as Aang, a reluctant hero who prefers adventure over his job as the Avatar. Aang and his friends, Katara and Sokka, journey to the North Pole to find a Waterbending master to teach Aang and Katara the secrets of the craft. At the same time, Fire Lord Ozai, the current Fire Lord of the Fire Nation, is waging a seemingly endless war against the Earth Kingdom, the Water Tribes, and the already vanquished Air Nomads.

Plot: One hundred years ago, a twelve-year-old Airbender named Aang learns he is the new Avatar, the only person in his generation capable of controlling and manipulating all four elements to his will and the one tasked with maintaining peace between the Four Nations of the world. Fearful of the heavy responsibilities of being the Avatar, Aang flees from home on his animal guide, a flying bison called Appa. Caught by a fierce storm, they crash into the ocean, and Aang’s protective Avatar State freezes them in a state of suspended animation inside an iceberg. Right after his disappearance, Fire Lord Sozin launches a genocidal campaign against the Air Nomads in hopes of wiping out the Avatar so he can achieve his plot for the Fire Nation to rule the world.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is an upcoming romantic-fantasy film scheduled for release on June 30, 2010. It is based on Stephenie Meyer’s Eclipse and will be the third installment of The Twilight Saga film series, following 2008’s Twilight and 2009’s New Moon. Summit Entertainment greenlit the film in February 2009. Directed by David Slade, the film will star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, reprising their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black, respectively.

Plot: Bella Swan is reunited with the love of her life (and vampire), Edward Cullen. Her life is back to the way it was before the Cullens left, except for one major thing. The Karate Kid is an upcoming 2010 martial arts film remake of the 1984 film of the same name. Directed by Harald Zwart, the remake stars Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith. Principal photography for the film took place in Beijing, China; filming began around July 2009 and ended on October 16, 2009. The Karate Kid will be released theatrically in the United States on June 11, 2010.

Plot: 12-year-old Dre Parker could’ve been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother’s latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying - and the feeling is mutual - but cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre’s feelings make an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. In the land of kung fu, Dre knows only a little karate, and Cheng puts “the karate kid” on the floor with ease. Jonah Hex is an upcoming American superhero Western film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Under Warner Bros., the film is directed by Jimmy Hayward and stars Josh Brolin as the title character, Jonah Hex, and also stars John Malkovich, Michael Fassbender and Megan Fox. The film is scheduled to be released on June 18, 2010. The film was rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, disturbing images, and sexual content/nudity.

Plot: Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) is a scarred drifter and bounty hunter of last resort, a tough and stoic gunslinger who can track down anyone and anything. Having escaped death, Jonah’s violent history is steeped in myth and legend and has left him with one foot in the natural world and one on the “other side.” His only human connection is with Lilah (Megan Fox), whose life in a brothel has left her with scars of her own.
